Networking - I was once a very big fan of Artisoft's LANtastic. Back in the early days of PC networking (back when Microsoft didn't believe networking was important) Artisoft offered the best all around networking product for the small business user. Over time Microsoft learned that the PC was not a very interesting box in and of itself and learned that it was a very powerful tool for communication. Once Microsoft got it, well Artisoft became a footnote in the history of PC networking. Currently, I am involved with Microsoft's networking i.e. Windows for Workgroups, Windows 95 and Windows NT.
